The Kullman Firm Welcomes Jean Carlo “J.C.” Bonilla Rivera and Darla N. Nguyen as Associates

August 21, 2023 – The Kullman Firm is pleased to announce that Jean Carlo “J.C.” Bonilla Rivera and Darla N. Nguyen have joined the firm as an associates in the New Orleans, LA, office.

Jean Carlo “J.C.” received his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge in 2023. He received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Family Law and Legal Writing and Analysis. During law school, J.C. served as a legal intern in the Baton Rouge Prosecutor’s Office and as a student attorney on the Trial Team of the 21st Judicial District Public Defender’s Office. Prior to law school, J.C. was an officer in the U.S. Air Force in Cheyenne, WY. Centering his practice on business immigration and employment law, J.C. assists companies and foreign nationals obtain non-immigrant and immigrant visas so they can live and/or work in the United States. On the employment side of his practice, he advises clients on a wide range of employment laws and regulations such as wage and hour, anti-discrimination, and leave laws. He is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Ms. Nguyen received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in May of 2023. She was an ad hoc executive board member of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal. She also served as the student body association representative to the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. During law school, Darla served as a summer associate at The Kullman Firm; as a judicial extern for the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal; and as an intern for the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal. In her practice, Darla brings a broad legal perspective, intellectual capability, and salient employment law experience to her practice. She draws on diverse legal training to adeptly assist clients in all aspects of employment law.
