The Kullman Firm Names Elizabeth B. Bloch and Malerie L. Bulot as Shareholders

January 1, 2026 – The Kullman Firm is pleased to announce that Elizabeth B. Bloch and Malerie L. Bulot were named Shareholders effective January 1, 2026.

Elizabeth “Beth” B. Bloch is an experienced trial and litigation attorney, focused on defending private businesses, employers, and public entities against various employment related lawsuits in both federal and state court. Beth provides a broad experience and focuses on civil rights cases, such as Title VII and Section 1983. She also has experience in trade secret, unfair trade practices, and FMLA litigation, as well as representing clients before the EEOC. Beth began her legal career as a paralegal and, after law school, served as a law clerk for Judge James P. Doherty, Jr. in the 27th Judicial District Court for St. Landry Parish. She is admitted in both Louisiana and Virginia. Beth attended Hendrix College and received a B.A. in Philosophy and a Minor in German in 2001.  She attended Tulane University College for a Post-Baccalaureate Paralegal Studies degree in 2005, and received her J.D. in 2017 from Southern University Law Center, magna cum laude.

Malerie Bulot’s practice spans the nation, and she handles employee benefits, executive compensation, and employment tax issues for clients in industries including healthcare, oil and gas, government contracting, nonprofit and advertising. Malerie places a particular focus on guiding employers in the implementation, changes, and termination of benefits, including 401(k), 403(b), and health and welfare plans, as well as the resolution of payroll tax issues and audits. She also works to provide compliance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), Internal Revenue Code, and rules and regulations promulgated by government agencies like the Department of Labor (DOL), Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). During law school, Malerie served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Shelly D. Dick and as a senior editor of the Louisiana Law Review.  She attended LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center and received her J.D./D.C.L., magna cum laude, in 2018. She received her B.A. from Tulane University, cum laude, in 2015.
