overview

"I enjoy bringing both my legal skills and the human element to client matters. It’s satisfying to talk with clients and witnesses about cases and tell a story in documents using clear, compelling language, free of legal jargon."

Practice Overview

In her labor and employment law practice, Mary Kathryn Gimber serves companies in a wide range of industries. Admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts and U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, she assists on litigation and in matters pending before administrative agencies.

During law school, Mary Kathryn served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John W. deGravelles. The experience gave her a valuable look behind the scenes of the workings of the courthouse and judge’s chambers—a perspective and knowledge that she now applies to her clients’ advantage.

Drawing on her excellent writing, research and analysis skills, Mary Kathryn distills and synthesizes complex topics and then expresses them in language that’s understandable even to non-lawyers. She adeptly prioritizes and manages a variety of tasks and challenges, handling it all in a relaxed, easygoing manner.
