Ms. Hearne, a native of Newport Beach, California, joined the Kullman Firm in 2016 after practicing for nearly a decade with a large, international mega firm in their employment and civil litigation practice groups. Ms. Hearne has handled the full range of labor and employment matters under both federal and state law, specializing in the defense of high-risk, complex, class and collective action employment litigation, as well as representative claims for violations of California’s Private Attorneys’ General Act. In addition, Ms. Hearne regularly defends claims alleging discrimination, retaliation, and/or harassment under both state and federal law. Ms. Hearne also routinely advises clients on day-to-day employment matters, including personnel and payroll policies and practices, classification and leave issues, disability accommodations, wage statement compliance, and updates to employee handbooks and policies. She is also a regular contributor to the Kullman Firm’s client newsletters.
