Mr. White’s experience covers the full range of labor and employment law and human resources management. His practice is devoted primarily to counseling executive and middle management in human resources matters, including development and administration of personnel policies, compliance with employment and anti-discrimination laws, union avoidance, negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements, and labor aspects of mergers and acquisitions. He represents clients before the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, various state administrative agencies, the Department of Labor, and in federal and state courts. He has represented clients in most industries and has extensive experience in representing companies in the fields of health care, defense contracting, ground and air transportation, and manufacturing, including plastics, steel, metal fabricating, paper, furniture, and soft goods. Mr. White has lectured at the business schools of the University of Virginia and the University of Tennessee and frequently presents management training seminars.
Prior to joining the firm in 1982, Mr. White worked for eight years in the field of human resources at the University of Virginia and the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he was the Director of Human Resources.
