"No matter what’s at issue, I’m always confident that I’ve out-prepared the other side. Clients appreciate my ability to gather and use all information points that are relevant to their matters. In addition to getting down into the nitty-gritty details, I keep the bigger themes in mind. This dual approach enables me to create unique, cost-effective solutions."

Practice Overview

In her national labor and employment practice, Rachel Linzy represents management in a range of industries, including health care, manufacturing, finance, and technology. She handles a great deal of retaliation issues, including Title VII-related matters, and also litigates discrimination, harassment, and wage-hour cases, and provides counsel in labor arbitrations. Additionally, Rachel negotiates contracts, investigates employee complaints about working conditions, and advocates for employers in proceedings before governmental agencies, administrative law judges, arbitrators, and state and federal courts. Her quick grasp of the matters at stake and her persuasive story-telling reap positive results.

Rachel’s previous experience in commercial litigation and transactional law enhances her ability to assist and advise businesses with their employee relations. On the advising side, she helps employers proactively avoid difficulties down the road by guiding them in drafting and implementing sound employment policies that comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Rachel also offers adept counsel on a range of hiring, employee discipline, and wage-payment questions. Clients rely on her to help them navigate the dynamic issues that arise in worker leave situations, which often entail nuances and complexities related to the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

With innate people skills and a keen ability to read a room, Rachel makes clients feel comfortable while identifying and addressing the root cause at issue. Her cordial, easygoing nature and legal acumen engender a great deal of trust. These qualities help her get to know people’s stories and all aspects of their businesses in depth and ensure that witnesses feel thoroughly prepared and protected. She finds it gratifying to develop innovative solutions that are tailored precisely to the needs and preferences of those she serves.

A popular speaker, Rachel lectures frequently at seminars and conferences on labor and employment law topics.
