Personal

Music is a big part of my life. I love to listen to all kinds of genres, and I play the piano and sing. I also try to make time to read for pleasure and write creative fiction. Travel is another passion; I’ve been to many places in the United States, Canada and Mexico, and look forward to taking more trips outside of North America, including to Iceland. In addition to hanging out with my cat, I love to go out with my friends and do things like karaoke and trivia competitions.

overview

I find it very gratifying to work in employment and labor law because it’s one of the most people-oriented areas in the legal profession. Employees spend a great deal of time in their workplaces, and their careers are one of the most important aspects of their lives. It’s fascinating to pair their personal stories with the legal implications that follow.

Practice Overview

Bringing strong research and communication skills and a particular interest in labor law, Anna Jones handles a variety of legal matters relating to the workplace. She serves clients by not only taking on their problems, but working with them to craft and implement policies and procedures that prevent challenges from arising in the first place.

Anna’s background in journalism helped prepare her well for many aspects of legal practice. She honed relevant abilities such as unearthing crucial information in a timely manner—a challenge she embraces as a “scavenger hunt” for valuable answers. Anna also performs in-depth analysis of written material and produces clear, effective and persuasive memos and other legal documents. She enjoys delving into the heart of issues, gaining a full understanding of them, and devising creative and unique strategies to address them.

Polite yet persistent when eliciting information in verbal communications, Anna asks the right questions and listens carefully to responses. Anna makes people feel comfortable and draws them out in order to get the best outcomes.

Because the complex regulatory environment governing employment and labor laws constantly evolves, Anna stays committed to tracking new laws and regulations that affect clients and their employees and operations.
