Heather enjoys traveling, engaging in outdoor activities with her family, and reading—particularly fiction that provides a bit of an escape from serious issues.
"When a legal issue arises, I gather all relevant facts and information, assess my clients’ risks, and craft practical, shrewd, and efficient responses. Whether we decide on a cost-saving settlement or take litigation all the way to the courtroom, those I represent to know they can trust me to do everything possible to further their best interests so they can place their focus on running their organizations."
Adeptly advising employers in several areas of labor and employment law, Heather Crow litigates in discrimination and harassment cases, investigates employee complaints, and counsels employers on hiring, disciplining, wage-payment, and employment policy issues. She also advocates for organizations in proceedings before governmental bodies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and various state agencies, as well as in state and federal courts.
With clients located nationwide and internationally, Heather handles work wherever and whenever they need help. She provides representation to businesses in a wide range of industries, including energy, construction, governmental contractors, health care, manufacturing, consulting, and information technology. Companies rely on her to guide them through issues arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Title VII, drug tests, state employment laws, and contract disputes.
Heather forms strong relationships with managers and human resources employees, as well as in-house counsel. The keen insight she gains into every aspect of her clients’ businesses enables her to guide them proactively, respond to problems quickly and creatively, and keep them updated on the constantly changing laws and regulations that affect their operations and policies. Always putting people at ease, she explains legal concepts in clear, understandable terms to witnesses and others who aren’t familiar with the law.
A former freelance writer, Heather draws on her strong communication skills to distill complex information, give context to background, and craft documents that present a compelling and persuasive story. Heather also previously worked as a Series 7 licensed securities and investment representative, which provided her not only with business and financial knowledge, but also outstanding client service skills.
