overview

"My natural ability to talk easily with people of all backgrounds, make them feel comfortable, and build rapport comprises an essential and highly advantageous component of my practice. It helps me apply my legal acumen and strategic thinking, enhancing my ability to attain the best outcome possible for my clients."

Practice Overview

Allison Fish represents employers nationwide in a range of employment and labor law matters. She vigorously advocates for clients in cases involving allegations of workplace sexual harassment and discrimination claims in a range of areas, including gender, disability, race, and age. In addition to litigating in state and federal courts, Allison handles matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and similar governmental agencies across the country.

As one of a rare group of young, female attorneys who are well-versed and experienced in traditional labor law, Allison is gratified to figuratively roll up her sleeves and immerse herself in old-school tasks such as arbitrations and contract and collective bargaining agreement negotiations.

In a fraught and constantly evolving political and business climate, clients feel reassured by Allison’s steady guidance and valuable insights into a host of employment-related issues that constantly arise. Always looking to prevent problems at the outset and minimize risk, she keeps clients updated and strives to make their lives far less stressful by removing burdens from their shoulders.

Allison excels at gathering relevant information, digging into the facts, and crafting creative and nuanced arguments that produce favorable resolutions for her clients. Although she contributes outstanding writing, research, strategy, and advocacy skills to her practice, Allison fully understands that at its core, the law centers on human relationships. Her great strength is forging connections, not only with the employers she advises, but with colleagues, opposing counsel, witnesses, and judges. Allison places a premium on personable professionalism and avoids acrimony, which she regards as generally counterproductive to her clients’ interests.

Growing up with a father and grandfather as practicing attorneys, Allison always knew her intense work ethic, academic success, and analytical aptitude were an excellent fit with the legal profession. After graduating second in her class at Tulane University Law School, she gained valuable experience serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Tu Pham of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.
