This session covers significant changes occurring at the NLRB initiated by the current administration along with some lasting effects of the prior administration’s policies, and the overall impacts on unionized and non-union employers.

This session will inform HR Professionals on immigration law developments under the current administration that concern employment eligibility verification and compliance, the availability of foreign temporary workers in the workforce, and visa sponsorship.

Employee Benefits Update
This session covers recent legislative, regulatory, and/or caselaw developments under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”) and the Internal Revenue Code (“IRC”) affecting employee benefit plans such as retirement, health, and welfare plans, and will provide guidance and best practices for employers navigating their fiduciary obligations within this ever-changing landscape.

The ADA requires an individualized inquiry that makes employer compliance extremely challenging. This session will cover what constitutes a disability, how failure to accommodate claims are analyzed by courts, and other unique concerns that arise when dealing with modern ADA issues.
